Credit for Prior Learning
Purpose and Philosophy
Aquinas College recognizes that college-level learning occurs in many forms — through employment, professional training, military service, industry certifications, and community engagement. This policy provides students with an efficient, transparent, and equitable pathway to receive academic credit for verified college-level learning.
Eligibility and Credit Limits
Students may earn up to 24 semester hours through CPL.
CPL credits may fulfill general education, major, minor, or elective requirements, but do not count toward residency requirements.
CPL credits are transcripted with a CR (Credit) grade and are not included in the calculation of cumulative GPA.
